Saramani House Gives Brings Food Security and Smiles to Tienkouma, Mali

April 27th, 2023, marked a day of joy, hope, and nourishment for the residents of Tienkouma, a small village in Mali. The team at Saramani House Gives, along with our incredible volunteers, organized a food distribution event in the heart of the village to address the pressing issue of food insecurity in the region.

The village of Tienkouma, like many rural communities in Mali, has long grappled with food scarcity due to a combination of climate change, economic challenges, and limited access to resources. The ongoing global pandemic has only exacerbated these challenges, making it more crucial than ever to provide support to those in need.

In the weeks leading up to the event, our team at Saramani House Gives worked tirelessly to secure donations of staple food items such as rice, millet, beans, and cooking oil.
